Panini Love

Panini's are God's gift to me and my George Foreman Grill.

I have selected some of my favorite recipes out of a cookbook to share with you, because they are super easy to make and so fucking tasty.

Turkey, Emmental, Jalapeno and Mustard Panini

1 Ciabatta Loaf (or just some Dempsters if your cheap like me)
3 tbsp of tasty mustard of some sort (I like Dijon)
3 to 4 slices of Emmental or Cheddar Cheese
2 tablespoons of sliced jalapenos
4 thick slices of Turkey (or if your a veggie like me some soy turkey)
vegetable or olive oil, for brushing

If you don't own a George Foreman grill just use a skillet and a spatula.

To Make:
Spread mustard over the inside of the sandwich, top with cheese, follow with jalapenos and finish with the turkey. Brush both sides of the panini with oil and grill for three minutes or until brown and filling is warmed all the way through.

Monterey Jack, Sharp Cheddar and Scallions on Sourdough

2 Slices of Sourdough bread (or fall back white bread)
2 slices of Monterey Jack Cheese
2 Slices of Sharp Cheddar
2 scallions (onions), thinly sliced
Vegetable Oil or Olive Oil

To make this just follow the same directions as above. They are very similar.

More recipes to come

I got these recipes from "Panini: Simple Recipes for Classic Italian Sandwiches" by Jennifer Joyce.
